Told through the eyes of two young survivors, this thrilling account vividly recreates the night the world's biggest ship plunged to the bottom of the ocean.
The excitement and anticipation of the TITANIC'S first voyage is seen through the eyes of two young survivors, 17-year-old Jack Thayer, a passenger, and 22-year-old Harold Bride, assistant wireless operator. Through them, Tanaka gives insight into the workings of the ship and its crew, as well as its passengers. Terry Bregy brings Tanaka's two protagonists to life as they move about the ship, working and meeting other travelers. Bregy imbues his well-paced narration with all the excitement, confusion, desperation, and sorrow of those on the famous last voyage. He clearly voices all the characters, making it easy for listeners to distinguish them and their stories. A postscript gives facts and details of the TITANIC and its sinking. J.K.R.
